DC FanDome saw the release of The Batman trailer, giving fans their first look at the Robert Pattinson-led feature. While the whole teaser is undoubtedly thrilling, there's one scene that raises some eyebrows: The Riddler's cryptic message to the Batman, and apparently, someone has already cracked the code!

At the trailer's 44-second mark, a card from Paul Dano's Riddler was shown which reads, "what does a liar do when he's dead?" The riddle comes along with a coded message, which a fan deciphered as "he lies still."

Taking to Twitter, Andrew Lane explains how he solved the riddle, discovering the recurring symbols in the code. "I've always been a huge fan of Batman and his stories. Naturally, I was very excited during the trailer reveal," he told SYFY WIRE. "I also have an interest in forensic investigations and true crime. I decided to kill some time and try to break the code." Lane says it just came down to "wanting to challenge" himself and engaging his two interests. You can check out the post below!

It's expected that The Riddler will cross paths with the Dark Knight sooner or later. It remains to be seen how big his role will be, considering the other villains that Batman will soon face. However, the film is expected to explore why Riddler's been sending those messages to Batman.

The Batman is currently set for release on October 1, 2021.
