The second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian just recently wrapped filming and fans can't wait to see what the show has in store. While details about the series remain scarce, a returning director will be helming an episode for season two.

Taking to Instagram, cinematographer Baz Idoine announces the wrap by sharing an image of a clapboard. The slate shows The Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni's name on it, which means that he'll officially be directing another episode for the show.

It wasn't specified as to which episode he'll be directing, but some fans speculate that Filoni will be in charge of the season finale. That being said, Lucasfilm creative art manager Phil Szostak pointed out that although it is the clapboard used for the last day of filming, it doesn't automatically mean that Filoni will be directing the last episode. This is because TV shows aren't actually filming episodes in order.

As mentioned, this isn't the first time Filoni directed an episode of the show. He actually helmed the first episode of The Mandalorian's first season, where The Child was introduced. As well as the fifth episode, titled "The Gunslinger."

Regardless of which episode he'll be directing, Star Wars fans can't wait to see more of Filoni's work and to witness more of Mando and The Child's adventures together.

Aside from Filoni, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau revealed in a previous interview that he will be directing at least one episode for season two. He didn't get the chance last time because he was working on The Lion King.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set for release in October on Disney+.
