Matt Murdock has finally made his return as the Man Without Fear in Daredevil #20, but he's facing an unlikely enemy who just paid him a not-so-friendly visit.

This article has SPOILERS for the recently released Daredevil #21 by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Mattia Iacono, and VC's Clayton Cowles.

The last few Daredevil issues showed a war caused by the Stromwyn twins, hiring various supervillains to wreck the neighborhood. The citizens who fought them back to protect the place wore the Daredevil mask, showing the hero's impact on the people.

Inspired by these citizens along with a renewed sense of purpose, Matt dons the mask once again to take on the villains. When the battle came to an end, he publicly announced his return and turned himself to the authorities. Daredevil #21 saw Matt stopping by his home before being driven to the police station, only to find Spider-Man waiting for him again.

Matt tells the wall-crawler that he had to return to protect the people, and besides, he has already turned himself to the police, clearly showing that he has no patience for Spider-Man. While it seems like the pair were about to throw down, Spider-Man opted to leave, warning the Man Without Fear that he'll be back if he finds out he's lying to him.

The series has been setting up the rivalry between the two since Daredevil #5. Whether Daredevil is found or guilty or not, he'll make his return one way or another, and once that happens, Spider-Man will be there to stop him. Though for now, their stand-off is over, but there's no doubt that Daredevil will get paid another visit from Spider-Man.

Daredevil #21 is now available.
