It's no secret that Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi was a divisive movie among Star Wars fans. Along with this was the online harassment that Kelly Marie Tran has received for being cast as Rose Tico in the franchise. The actress has opened up about being the target of the bullies online, and now, Tran reveals how she coped up with the hate from the last movie.

Tran recently made an appearance on Good Morning America where she talked about the upcoming movie The Rise of Skywalker. At one point in the interview, the actress was asked how she feels now about the online harassment she has received before. "I feel great now," she answered. She also revealed that she has "been to therapy" and joked about "highly recommending" it too.

However, she pointed out that she sought therapy not just because of the online harassment, but also because of the "transition" from working on a day job, a "struggling" actor, to "suddenly" being in the Star Wars universe. "I think that sort of transition takes a lot of emotional work," Tran said.

That being said, the actress admitted that she is "in a really good place now." She also expressed her excitement for Episode IX, and to be able to work with director J.J. Abrams. "I'm doing great," she reiterated.

After what Tran went through, and being able to actually hear this coming from the actress herself, it's good to know that she's doing well and has a positive outlook for the upcoming movie. And while people are free to speak out about their opinions and critiques about certain subjects, it's a good reminder that it's not okay to resort to bullying.
