Starting the year off with a bang, Joaquin Phoenix won the Best Actor Golden Globe for his incredible performance in Joker. His speech is definitely surprising and something worth noting, but viewers could hardly appreciate what he had to say in winning the award.

Without a doubt, Joker fans were surely excited for the actor in winning the award. However, most of them were confused and even disappointed since most of Phoenix's speech was censored. Obviously, the actor dropped quite a few F-bombs, but some parts of his speech had to be bleeped out too just in case a few more will be mentioned which resulted to the viewers missing out on some of Phoenix's thoughts.

Check out some of the fans' reactions about his censored speech:

Most of the words bleeped out were part of his appreciation to his fellow nominees. He noted that there is no competition between them and that he is inspired by all of them. He also expressed his gratitude for director Todd Phillips for encouraging him and putting up with him, admitting that he was a "pain in the ass."

Phoenix's speech was surely a memorable one, and fans can't wait to see how Joker does in the Oscars. Needless to say, fans are looking forward to the actor getting an award and giving out a surprising speech such as this one, once again.

Joker will be coming to Blu-ray on January 7.
