Grant Gustin has been playing the part of The CW's The Flash for around six years now. A lot of people have come to love his portrayal of the Scarlet Speedster as well. However, while the Arrowverse series has brought great success for the actor, Gustin admits that he missed out on some opportunities as well.

In a recent appearance on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Gustin talks about how fortunate he is to take on the role, while also noting that he missed out on other things. "I'm very aware, especially in certain moments, of how lucky I am and how differently things could have gone up until this point," he said. "But you know I also, like, when it comes to my career or life, there's plenty of things that I feel like I've missed out on."

Gustin says it has been "so amazing" to play the character for the past six years. However, he did have a hiatus project that has "fallen through" because of the show. This made the actor think that he missed "a lot" of opportunities from both film and stage because of "schedule conflicts," noting that a person just "can't have everything."

That being said, Gustin told the Arrowverse producer that he never had regrets about being on the show and playing the titular character. "I don't have regrets though," the actor admits. "I would never trade off where I'm at right now to be somewhere else in my life or in my career."

Though he missed out on other projects, his portrayal of The Flash is loved and appreciated by many. Needless to say, fans can't wait for more adventures of Gustin's Scarlet Speedster in the remaining episodes of the sixth season and more to come in the seventh one.

New episodes of The Flash Season 6 airs Tuesdays on The CW.
