It was recently revealed that Boba Fett will be making an appearance in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. A fan-favorite character, Boba Fett's return is certainly exciting but it looks like it's not the last time we'll see him on Disney+.

In a report from FandomWire, a solo project centered on Boba Fett is "very much in development" for the streaming service. However, it is unclear whether it is a movie or a show. The outlet says Disney is keen on making Star Wars series and features, but Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy thinks fans want more Boba Fett content, hence, they are working on more projects behind the scenes following the character.

It is important to note that this is just a rumor, so fans should take this with a grain of salt. That being said, Boba Fett's appearance in The Mandalorian could be a way for Lucasfilm to slowly embrace the character once again and place him in more Star Wars projects.

As fans may already know, a Boba Fett spinoff movie was originally in the works in 2015 under filmmaker Josh Trank. However, recent reports reveal that he left the project before the studio could fire him. There haven't been any updates since then, but this rumor sparks hope for those who have been missing the character.

In the meantime, fans can look out for Boba's return in The Mandalorian Season 2, to be released this October. His appearance was said to be teased in the fifth episode of the first season, which was the character seen at the end, looming over Fennec Shand's lifeless body.
