It definitely came as a shock to Marvel fans when they learned about Spider-Man leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Holland, himself, played a huge part in keeping the hero in the MCU and even recently detailed the drunk phone call he had with Disney CEO Bob Iger that "saved" Spider-Man. Now, Iger shares a little detail that pokes fun at the actor about the incident.

Taking to Twitter, Iger responded to a tweet regarding Holland's drunk phone call. He says that while talking to the actor, the CEO thinks Holland seems "a bit giddy" on the phone. Iger's tweet about the phone call was appreciated by fans, since the CEO of a big company such as himself, makes light of situations like these even with a big matter at hand.

Well, it is certain that Holland was a big part of saving Spider-Man and fans deeply appreciate his efforts in doing so. This is also great news for the fans who have been hoping to see more of the hero in the MCU, especially since they now know that the actor himself is committed to his role and was somewhat hands-on in the process.

If you weren't aware of the said phone call, Holland told Jimmy Kimmel that he sent an email to Iger to thank him for the five years he had with the company. The CEO responded quickly asking when the actor is up for a talk over the phone, and of course, Holland says he can call him anytime. Two days later, the actor was at a pub with his family. And "three pints in," he received a call from Iger. And now, this phone call saved Spider-Man!
