After her performance in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, fans can't wait to see Margot Robbie's return as Harley Quinn in the upcoming movie Birds of Prey. A lot of people really loved Robbie's take on the character, and it seems like this is mostly because the actress really takes this role to heart.

In a recent interview with Variety, Robbie talked about the importance of the comics and the responsibility that she ought to fulfill for the fans. "Even if people aren't a fan of the comics, to begin with, I've said it to everyone on this job: "Start reading them. You owe it to the fans to respect the source material,'" she said.

The actress pointed out that fans "adore" the source material, and that Robbie and the team are very "lucky" to be bringing that source to life "in a different way." Robbie says they have a "huge responsibility" to the fans, hence, she reminds everyone in the job to treat it the way they would want something they "deeply cared about" to be cared for by someone.

Robbie also mentioned that it makes her happy when fans see something onscreen that was something from the comics, like the Ace Chemicals or the Canary Cry. The actress says fans would go "ballistic," and that she's very much happy to see that kind of reaction from them to those "little things."
