Jeremy Renner Says Marvel Shouldn’t Keep Him Waiting Too Long For His Hawkeye Solo

A lot of the members of the Avengers have already gotten their own standalone movies – well, a lot except Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

Now the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up to the next phase of the Avengers preparing the first installment in the two-part Avengers movie, Infinity War. While waiting for the release of the film, Renner tells Marvel fans that he's more or less ready to get his very own Hawkeye standalone movies, warning Marvel Studios in an interview with SCMP that they shouldn't take too long to work on Hawkeye's films.

"It would be a wonderful thing" Renner said after being asked about having Hawkeye standalone movies in the Marvel cinematic universe by the publication. "Just don't wait too long! I don't want to be in my 50s in tights."

The Marvel star also says that he's currently not "focusing on new work," but is instead building up his thriving home renovation business and taking care of his spritely four-year-old baby girl.

"As much as I love some of these big movies that take you around the planet, you're on the road like a travelling band and it gets a little unsettling after so many years of it," the Marvel star added.

Guess the strain is getting to Renner. It's not easy being a Marvel star, especially when you have a family waiting for you back at home.

Renner is set to reprise his role as Hawkeye in Avengers: Infinity War this May 4, 2018, as well as in Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019.
