Song Joong Ki Reportedly Being Considered To Host The 26th Busan International Film Festival
Song Joong Ki has, allegedly, been approached to host the opening ceremony of the imminent 26th Busan International Film Festival, which is set to happen from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15, 2021. History D&C, the official management agency of the 35-year-old South Korean actor, confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 8, that Joong Ki indeed received the offer and is affirmative of it.
It does not end there because the hi sci-fi movie of Song Joong Ki titled Space Sweepers will also be premiering at the prestigious film festival. For starters, the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is one of the most significant movie festivals not only in South Korea but also in Asia.

Aside from Song Joong Ki, Kim Tae Ri, Jin Seon Kyu, and Yoo Hae Jin also appeared in Space Sweepers. Jo Sung Hee directed the said movie, which was released on Netflix on Feb. 5, 2021.
Song Joong Ki portrayed Kim Tae Ho, a former commander of the Space Guards and the first-ever UTS Genius, in the movie. Kim Tae Ri, for her part, played Captain Jang or Jang Hyun Sook, a former Special Forces Squad officer who later deserted her post to create her own pirate organization. Richard Armitage, Kim Mu Yeol, Park Ye Rin, and Kim Hyang Gi also appeared in Space Sweepers.
Song Joong Ki Continues Filming Bogota After Postponement Due To COVID-19 Pandemic
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki has resumed filming his imminent new movie called Bogota. Most, if not all, fans are aware that the production had been delayed amid the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preview reported that the story of Bogota will take place in South America. Aside from Song Joong Ki, Lee Hee Joon will also be appearing in the imminent new movie to play a character named Soo Yeong.
Also joining Song Joong Ki and Lee Hee Joon in Bogota Jo Hyun Chul and Colombian actress Juana del Rio. Award-winning director and screenwriter Kim Sung Je is helming the upcoming movie.

In July, reports claimed that Song Joong Ki and the entire cast and crew of Bogota flew back to Colombia to continue the production. A report from Sports Chosun claimed that only a number of staff members will be sent to the South American country while the actors would film locally from May to June.
Other news suggested that Bogota will be using the same CGI-magic used for Vincenzo. An unnamed representative of the production team also, previously, clarified that they have yet to settle on concrete plans with regards to filming the movie. The statement read:
"Plans to resume filming in July have not been set yet. The production team is internally reviewing the possibilities. There are too many variables currently. Nothing has been confirmed concretely."
Since neither Song Joong Ki nor Lee Hee Jon's agencies have announced other important details about Bogota, it remains unclear as to when will the movie's premiere date be. So, avid followers of Song Hye Kyo's ex-lover should keep their fingers crossed.
