Song Joong Ki Criticized: Song Hye Kyo's Ex To Give Up Part Of His Itaewon Property After Receiving Complaints

Song Joong Ki is not only known for being one of the most sought-after actors of his generation. The former husband of Song Hye Kyo has also been hitting the headlines because of his good deeds, unwavering support to good causes, and taking part in humanitarian efforts.

Song Joong Ki To Give Up Part Of His Itaewon Property For His Neighbors

Recently, Song Joong Ki became the talk of the town again after he willingly offered to give up a portion of his property for his neighbors. Korean news outlets, as per Today Online, reported that the Descendants of the Sun actor is handing out, more or less, 1,500 square feet of his 9,000 square feet property in Itaewon after his neighbors complained that the roads between their houses are too narrow.

Song Joong Ki is ready to donate a part of his land to allow the local government to widen the roads in the neighborhood. Most, if not all, fans can recall that the Vincenzo lead star's neighbors filed a complaint against him for repaving a public road bordering his home.

The neighbors expressed their displeasure that the works in Song Joong Ki's house had elevated and caused some road blockage. City officials quickly responded to the protest and ordered the contractors to work on the raised issue swiftly.

Song Joong Ki started the renovations on his Itaewon home in 2020 after he purchased it for about $11.7 million. Rumors have it that the property was supposed to be his marital home with Song Hye Kyo when they were still together. The former lovebirds finalized their divorce in 2013.

Song Joong Ki Resumes Working On His Imminent Film After Being Exposed To Someone with COVID-19

Meanwhile, reports have it that Song Joong Ki continues working on his forthcoming movie titled Bogota after being exposed to someone who carries the deadly coronavirus. In July, the actor's agency, HISTORY D&C, confirmed that Joong Ki was forced to undergo two-week isolation after one of the people close to him tested positive for COVID-19.

It was on July 14 when HISTORY D&C confirmed that Song Joong Ki has finally returned to filming. For starters, Bogota is an upcoming movie that is set in 1990s Colombia.

Aside from Song Joong Ki, the film will also star Kwon Hae Hyo and Lee Hee Jon. Though the production kicked off in January 2020, the entire cast and crew were forced to halt the shooting in Colombia and return to South Korea in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No official release date for the said film has been announced as of yet.
