IU Writes Heartfelt Message For Fans Ahead Of ‘Strawberry Moon' Release

The said track will be IU's first comeback since the release of her fifth album titled "LILAC" in March 2021. In the moving message, she wrote:

"Really miss you guys. I prepared for this song really excitedly this time! It's been a while since I worked on a project like this without any pressure. I was hoping to convey such things to Uaenas. Many Uaenas seem to be worried about the song being released at midnight because of the scores (charts). But to be honest, I hope our Uaenas won't be too stressed because of the charts. I just hope you'll enjoy listening to the song if you like it. I hope that you'll go to bed in a good mood after listening to the song. That's really all I ask of Uaenas this time."

IU, unlike her previous releases, decided to drop the "Strawberry Moon" track at midnight, which means sacrificing music charts results. The singer-actress explained:

"Sometimes, I feel that it's a pity that even though they are my scores (charts), Uaenas seem to be more concerned and more stressed than me. For me, at this point, it might be difficult to do even better on the charts in the future. I think of it as something only natural because I've honestly already enjoyed it a lot."

I might have even more freedom than I do now, to be able to do more different genres of music. It's just you guys so you don't need to feel sad from worrying about me! In case you're not just worried about my feelings, I'll work harder to make songs that people will like, to the best of my abilities, so don't worry about that either! This time, don't worry about anything and just enjoy the song."
