BLACKPINK Lisa continues to break records with her first-ever solo single album titled "LALISA." However, amid the success that she has been attaining lately, the Thai rapper's solo debut has been plagued with malicious rumors.

BLACKPINK Lisa Reportedly Accused Of Plagiarizing MAMAMOO Hwasa's Solo Track

KpopStarz reported some people suggested that the trumpet sounds and melody of "LALISA" by BLACKPINK Lisa is somewhat familiar. TikTok user Arai Chelsie claimed that the beat and trumpet sounds of the track are similar to what MAMAMOO Hwasa performed at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Because of the said resemblances, some netizens alleged that BLACKPINK Lisa plagiarized MAMAMOO Hwasa's track. However, as per usual, avid followers of Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo's co-member quickly defended the K-pop idol.

Devoted fans of BLACKPINK Lisa even provided pieces of evidence to prove that her "LALISA" song is not plagiarized. A YouTuber even pointed out that both Lisa and MAMAMOO Hwasa's singles used the "Melody Loop Crazy Horns 01 130 Eb" track, which was produced by Brazilian musical group Tropkillaz in 2018.

KpopStarz also shared this is not the first time that BLACKPINK Lisa was accused of plagiarizing other K-pop group's music. Some netizens claimed­ that the opening part of "Dingga" and "AYA" by MAMAMOO is very similar to Lisa's rap part in the BLACKPINK hit song called "How You Like That."

It was, however, learned later on that both groups used the "KSHMR Middle East GTR Guitar 128 E Arabic" track in their songs. BLACKPINK Lisa and her camp have yet to comment on these plagiarism accusations.

BLACKPINK Lisa Tops iTunes In 60 Countries With ‘LALISA'

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK Lisa's solo album "Lalisa" has achieved notable successes upon its release. YG Entertainment announced that the carrier single dominated the iTunes' Top Songs chart in over 60 countries, including the Philippines, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Qatar, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Peru, and Saudi Arabia among others, and regions on Sept. 11 at 8 a.m.

Reports claimed that "Lalisa" by BLACKPINK Lisa effortlessly sold a total of 330,129 copies on the first day of its release, as per Hanteo Chart. The album also sold more than 300,000 copies of its regular version and approximately 20,300 units for its KiT version.

Prior to its official release, "Lalisa" had approximately 800,000 copies in pre-orders, which earned her the record as the female K-pop solo artist with the highest pre-orders in history. The official music video of BLACKPINK Lisa's first solo track is also poised to enter YouTube's Top 10 All-Time Top 24-Hour Music Debuts.

As of this writing, the official music video of "Lalisa" by BLACKPINK Lisa already garnered a total of 125,662,545 views with more than 10 million likes and 2,307,369 comments. It is also the No. 1 trending video for music at the moment.
