Wizards of The Coast Acquires Canada-Based Company, Tuque Games

Wizards of the Coast, the subsidiary of Hasbro best known for their Dunegeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering franchises, announced today that it has acquired Tuque Games, a Montreal-based digital game development studio. With veterans in the gaming industry in its team, Tuque has experience with leading publishers, and they will continue the development of games with WotC's popular brands, starting with Dungeons & Dragons.

"At Wizards, we're continuing our commitment to creating new ways to bring our fan favorite brands to life," stated Chris Cocks, President, Wizards of the Coast (via Marketwatch). "Our unique approach of connecting fans around the tabletop as well as through our expanding portfolio of digital games is redefining what it means to be a games company."

Founded in 2012 by Jeff Hattem, Tuque Games released their first game, Liveock in 2016. Now with 55 full-time employees, the company is focused on developing digital games on the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.
