Today, Riot Games dropped VALORANT's Year One Anthem today, featuring various content creators to hype up Episode 3: Reflection as well as some awesome animations and gameplay footages that fans would love. However, fans also noticed potential teasers for an upcoming map and a new agent.
Watch the Year One Anthem below:
Savvy lore enthusiasts believe that the Episode 3 battle pass player card, Testing Grounds, hints at a new map that may launch later in the episode. Today's video seems to support that theory, giving us a closer look at a floating island that features both green and desert landscapes.
As fan Disturbo pointed out, the island features a ruined Kingdom facility, and that there's something glowing at the center of its landscape, with Disturbo believing that it may be an object or meteor that crashed into the island. The Episode 3: Reflection cover art seemingly also features this same glowing object.
According to lore enthusiast Cynprel, the radianite hazard symbol shown in the Testing Grounds player card hints that the energy source is present at the area. The mirror agents attacking Earth-1 may have set their sights on this location to steal its radianite store.
One Year Anthem also teased a new well-dressed agent codenamed "Deadeye". The figure is wearing glasses, holding a huge weapon in one hand. This same agent also appears in what looks like concept art at the 38-second mark of the video.
Riot hasn't confirmed any of these details, but it's not unusual for the developers to tease upcoming content in VALORANT since they've been doing this since the game launched last year.
VALORANT Episode 3, Act 1 will launch on June 22. A new battle pass will arrive to commemorate the game's first birthday, as well as some balance changes.
