Wizards of the Coast and the Magic: The Gathering community have been revealing reprinted cards from the upcoming compilation set Double Masters, and we've already seen some new wonderful art of premium alternate-art versions of the cards. One of the most memorable ones we've seen so far is Mark Tedin's goofy illustration of Karn Liberated:
The expression of Karn can definitely be seen in a more comedic light on this one, and what makes it more special is that it's part of a fantastic panorama with the new art of the the Tron lands (Urza's Mine, Power Plant, and Tower) from Double Masters.
While some Magic fans are loving the vintage look of the new Karn art, some fans online have mocked how it looks different, with some people pointing out that he looks more like Mr. Freeze from the DC universe than the artificial planeswalker. Love it or hate it, this wild art has inspired some creative memes from social media.
