More Magic: The Gathering MagicFest Events Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Concerns


Today, just a day after ChannelFireball announced the cancellation of Magic: The Gathering MagicFest events through mid-April, the Santa Clara-based online retailer took it on social media to announce four more MagicFest events cancelled: MagicFest Houston (April 24), MagicFest Copenhagen (April 30), MagicFest Charlotte (May 7), and MagicFest Kitakyushu (May 8).

With still no vaccine available for the COVID-19 virus, it's likely that ChannelFireball and Wizards of the Coast will cancel more major MTG events this year. Earlier today, Wizards cancelled the Players Tour Finals at Houston and the Mythic Invitational Ikoria. Star City Games Syracuse and Baltimore were also cancelled:

I was really looking forward to going to MagicFest Charlotte, but I know that ChannelFireball made the right decision for the health and safety of the fans, players, and employees.
