Magic: The Gathering Jumpstart Finally Gets New Launch Date in Europe

Wizards of the Coast has announced that the tabletop version of the innovative new Magic: The Gathering product Jumpstart is set to launch in Europe on October 16, 2020. The news follows the production and shipping delays. The tabletop release in the EU follows the launch in other regions and a limited-time Magic: The Gathering Arena event back in July.

Jumpstart features themed booster packs designed to be played quickly without the need of deck construction. All you have to do is shuffle cards from two Jumpstart booster packs to make a ready-to-play deck.

"Outside of the EU, the amount of Jumpstart boosters available to stores is less than intended due to the challenges of creating and shipping this set while facing complications due to COVID-19," Wizards said in the announcement. "We know fans are eager to get their hands on more Jumpstart, and we're working as hard as we can to release more into the world as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, and we can't wait for you to get the chance to shuffle up more packs and get to playing—especially if you haven't had the chance already."
