Magic: The Gathering Artist Reveals New Theros Beyond Death Art

Magic: The Gathering artist Ryan Pancoast has revealed his new art for the upcoming set Theros Beyond Death. The incredible illustration features Magic's iconic Planeswalker symbol in between a formation of swords of shields, and if you take a closer look, you'd notice the Aegis with the different races/monsters of the Greek mythology-inspired plane.

Pancoast shared his art on his Twitter account:

The artist noted that the nyx-shadow detail over reflective surfaces was tricky to make.

The details look amazing, and I hope I can get a playmat featuring this art someday.

It's nice to see this trend of incorporating the planeswalker symbol in the new world on a piece of key art.
