London Turns Nelson's Column Into A Giant Lightsaber For Star Wars: The Force Awakens Premiere

LONDON - As the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens were on the red carpet in Leicester Square for the European premiere of the film, nearby in Trafalgar's Square, Nelson's Column turned into a giant lightsaber. 

John Boyega, the Londoner who plays Finn in the movie, announced that the cast had "one more surprise" for them, just before the 52-metre column was illuminated. 

On Tuesday night, the 121-metre-tall The Spire in Dublin, located in Ireland's capital, also turned  into a lightsaber. Check out the photos below:
