With only three matches remaining in the battle between Kengan Association and Purgatory, there's a lot of pressure for Okubo to beat Terashi in their match. Will the King of Combat be able to defeat the Silent Nightmare? Here's everything you need to know about Kengan Omega Chapter 116.
In the previous chapter, we saw Liu reach out to Toku after winning by ring out. This was a touching scene showing their sportsmanship. Liu helps Toku reach the Kengan Association, handing him over while telling Okubo to take care of Mr. Poet. Okhubo realizes that Liu called him baldy and tells him that he's not bald.
Toku falls in Okubo's arm then apologizes that he wasn't strong enough to win the match. Okhubo told Toku to rest, and Takeshi is glad that the match ended well, even though Kengan still needs to win a match to tie up with Purgatory. Liu tells Toku that he's welcome in Purgatory, and Gaolang Wongsawat asked Liu if he's still angry about Naidan's death, and Liu responds that he still wants to kill that little dweeb.
Gaolang wonders what the worm is planning, and Ohma says that he's also confused about it. The two of them wonder why Naidan nad Lu have to reveal that they're part of the worm.
Kazuo wonders what Purgatory members are planning, and Rihito wonders what a worm is, to which Koga replies that he wants to know the same thing. Imai Cosmo realizes that there are only three matches in the battle between Kengan Association and Purgatory.
At the crowd, Kureshi and Joji head out to buy snacks before the next fight begins. Akiyama Kaeda tells the two men not to drink too much. Kureshi tells Joji that they could greet the worm that took care of Koga, and Joji tells him that greetings are essential.
Back in the ring, the King of Combat Okhubo Naoya steps up for the next fight, then the "Silent Nightmare" Terashi from Purgatory also enters the ring like a phantom with no sound.
With both Okhubo and Terashi in the ring, the fight is about to get started. Tersashi says that this will be entertaining, and Okhubo agrees. Okhubo wonders why Terashi is wearing a mask, and that they're not here to play. Terashi laughs, and Okhubo thinks that his opponent is taking him for granted, to which Terashi replies that when he breathes, it sounds like he's laughing. Terashi comments that he loves comedy, and that he doesn't like to miss Shnkigeki on TV, and Okhubo teases Terashi for enjoying comedy.
Fei notices that Carlos Medel has returned, and says that the bachelors were lonely without Medel. Medel asks if Fei thinks he knows anything about the fighters in the ring.
Lolong is analyzing the battle, and they continue to talk. Mr. Idematsu chose Terashi to fight for Purgatory, and Mdel ssays that there's something intriguing about Terashi. Lolong realizes that the name "Terashi" is owned by an infamous hitman from China.
The fight is about to start. Terashi weights 97 kg and 204 cm, and Okhubo is 195 cm and weighs 116 kg. Okhubo lands a huge swing with his fist attack, which smashes Terashi's face.
Now that the manga chapter has been released, here's what we know so far without the English translations: Okhubo becomes the aggressor, attacking Terashi with his fists and kicks, but Terashi evades them with ease. Terashi blocks Okhubo's attack with his hand, Okhubo gets a strange feeling on his fists. He even asked Terashi if he uses poison, to which Terashi says, "No".
Terashi taunts Okubo, saying, "What's wrong, comedian? Lost your jokes?" then Okubo responds by saying, "the king never loses."
Okhubo manages to hit Terashi directly on the face, but Lolong says to not worry about Terashi right now. Then we learn about what kind of martial arts Terashi might be using, which is described to incorporate basic karate with weapons.
Then we get a bit of story and learn about a fabled legend about a Chinese emperor who was able to use martial arts to bring people in China together, and he was killed by a man named Terashi, but there's no confirmation yet if this is true.
Back in the match, Terashi walks towards Okhubo, and comments that his strength will shatter Okhubo. The masked Silent Nightmare has been focused on being defensive, without swinging an attack to his opponent yet, but at the end of the chapter, Okhubo's fists are shown bleeding, and it looks like Terashi has the upper-hand in this fight.
Given that this is just the beginning of their fight, it's likely that we will see Terashi on the offensive in Chapter 117, and we could potentially find out more about his mysterious powers. We might see Okhubo make a comeback, but since team Purgatory are on the lead, there's a lot of pressure for Okhubo to win this match for the the Kengan Association.
