Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Confirms Broly and Red Ribbon Army Will Return in The Movie

The team behind Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero revealed a lot of new information about the new anime film during today's NYCC panel, including the first trailer and the names of the two mysterious alien characters. The creators at Toei Animation also confirmed the return of the villainous organization, the Red Ribbon army as well as the fan-favorite former villain, Broly.

For those unfamiliar, the Red Ribbon Army was introduced early in the Dragon Ball franchise as a threat to the young Goku and eventually creating the powerful Androids as well as the villain Cell. Dr. Gero was one of the major villains from the Red Ribbon Army, and although he was killed by his own creation, it looks like the evil organization managed to survive somehow. Their role will surely tie into the superhero premise of the new film's story, but their ultimate plan still remains a mystery.

The trailer also gave us a glimpse of Broly, and it looks like he's training together with Goku. However, it's still unclear what role the Saiyan warrior will play in the story, but it looks like he won't be returning as the villain after the events of Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
