Dragon Ball Super Chapter 72: Saiyans and Cerealian is here, and fans finally get to find out how the first confrontation between our favorite Saiyan protagonists (Goku and Vegeta) and Granolah kick off their highly-anticipated battle.
After Macki informs Goku and Vegeta that the "bad guy is lurking beyond that mountain", the heroic Saiyans head to the location and were quickly met with "deadly accurate" energy blasts from Granolah, who introduces himself as the last Cerealian survivor. Granolah shows off his incredible powers, and the Saiyans are clearly impressed, but Vegeta says that he seems up to be something, so he lets Goku fight Granolah one-on-one first while Oil spectates. After failing to match Granolah's power level, Goku transforms to Super Saiyan Blue as he boasts about his different power-ups.
Meanwhile, Vegeta investigates the ruins of planet Cereal, and by the end of the chapter, he finds a gigantic footprint, and says that he thinks he knows who Granolah is.
Unlike most of the previous villains that Goku and Vegeta have fought throughout the series, Granolah doesn't have evil intentions; he is driven by revenge against those who have wronged his extinct race, and the Heeters have just heated up their conflict. This is an intense, action-packed start for a fight that fans have been waiting for, and we can't wait to find out if the Saiayans will find out who's actually behind this conflict.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 73 is expected to continue this epic battle. Perhaps, we will find out more about Vegeta's discoveries before he takes a turn to prove himself that he can compete with Kakarot. The next chapter is expected to release on June 20, 2021.
