Dragon Ball Super Movie Will Probably Answer A Big Saiyan Mystery

Toei Animation

After Toei Animation revealed the title of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film to be Dragon Ball Super: Broly, fans got hyped to learn that the legendary Broly would finally be canonized.

Since that was announced, it didn't take long for fans to speculate how Broly would be a part of Akira Toriyama's official mythos. Some Redditors have already looked for clues from the official poster to try to piece together details of the film's story, and it looks like the film will provide answers to the mystery of the Saiyan race.

According to Redditor Al-Hatoor, Toei Animation have been leaving subtle hints about Broly's reintroduction to the franchise since Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power arc. He also points out that the shot of the Saiyan space pod on the film's official poster seems to be solving a major mystery about what happened to the Saiyan babies that launched from the planet prior to Frieza obliterating the planet. What if Broly was one of those babies? He went on to speculate that Broly might have killed the other babies who escaped Frieza's destruction.

Do you think the Dragon Ball Super movie will reveal the mystery behind the fate of the Saiyan babies and where Broily originally came from?

Dragon Ball Super is available for streaming on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon.
