Jump Festa, one of the biggest anime events in the world, has officially announced that Dragon Ball Super will be getting a "Super Stage" at Jump Festa this year, which will be held on December 18-19, both from 9AM to 5PM (Japan time).
The news was confirmed by the official Twitter account of Jump Festa, and more information will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
While fans will have to wait a little longer to find out what we can expect, we can speculate a few things regarding this presentation. Toei Animation and Shueisha may announce new episodes for Dragon Ball Super anime series during this event, but that's less likely that the two other possibilities: major announcement about a new Dragon Ball Super manga arc and more details about the upcoming feature film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
In past Jump Festa events, Shueisha has made some announcements about a Dragon Ball Super manga series' new arc, so it's likely that the company will use this year's event again to showcase what fans can expect from Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou's popular shonen manga next year.
There's also a good chance that Toei Animation and Shueisha will reveal new information about Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which is set to release in 2022, but note that the film was already confirmed to be featured in this year's New York Comic-Con.
Of course, fans are hoping that new episodes of the Dragon Ball Super anime series will be officially confirmed at the event, and although that might be unlikely compared to the other two possibilities, there's still a good chance that Season 2 will be confirmed in the near future.
