Demon Slayer Season 2 One-Hour Special Episode Announced For Entertainment District Arc


Demon Slayer Season 2 is set to begin next month, but before Ufotable premieres the new episodes for the Entertainment District Arc, there will be an extended and retooled version of the Mugen Train anime film, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc, and there will also be a special hour-long episode that will follow to kick-off the Entertainment District Arc.

The Demon Slayer: Mugen Train movie became the most profitable anime film of all time, raking up hundreds of millions of dollars around the world. The first seven episodes of Demon Slayer Season 2 will retell the tragic story that sees Tanjiro and his friends losing a major ally. Six of the episodes will be footage cut from the movie, and there will be one entirely new episode that gives us a look at Kyojuru Rengoku's perspective from the day before the train departed the station.

The official Twitter account of Demon Slayer has shared the news that the new season will kick-off the Entertainment District Arc on Dec. 5, with a special hour-long episode to introduce a new story to the anime based on Koyoharo Gotouge manga series.

The Entertainment District Arc will pick up where Mugen Train left off, and will see the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui join the young Demon Slayer Corps members.
