At Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con last month, directors Joe and Anthony Russo said that 67 characters will show up in the 2-part Avengers: Infnity War films, but they quickly clarified their statement, saying they were being figurative.

This weekend, on Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con, the Russos made another bold remark: . "The Russos also took a moment during the panel to correct a mistake they made earlier this year when describing the plot to the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which they are on board to direct. The movie features 68 distinct characters, not 67." (via Cleveland.com)

They're probably just joking around, but if the movies end up having 68 distinct characters, I hope the film would give most of them enough screentime to shine.

Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 will be released in theaters on May 4, 2018; Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 will conclude Phase 3 on May 3, 2019.
