Riot Games has issued a 12-month ban to Valorant Twitch streamer and top EU ranked pro player Yasin "Nisay" Gök for cheating in a Ranked match.

Over on Twitter, the official Valorant esports account for Turkey has announced the ban today, citing an official investigation by the developer into the player.

The English translation of the announcement reads: "As a result of the evaluations made by the Riot Games fraud protection team, it was determined that Nisay was cheating in a ranked match and was banned from all official Riot Games organizations for 12 months."

As a result, esports team Beşiktaş Esports dropped Gök and his contract has been terminated.

Gök wrote a Twitlonger response, asking Riot Games to provide evidence of the third-party software that proves he cheated.

Using Google Translate, here's what Gök said: "I personally think I am being wronged, but I cannot do anything against a company like Riot. I request Riot to show me proof of the 3rd party software they detected and that it is cheating."

Gök claims that his account hasn't been banned from normal play as would usually happen when Valorant's Vanguard anti-cheat software detects a cheater. Neither the official Valorant esports Turkey account or Riot provided details of Gök's cheating.

Nisay is not the first Valorant pro or stremer Riot Games banned from its tactical shooter. Back in August 2020, a Valorant cheater was caught cheating during a live stream of a $2,000 tournament.
