Strixhaven: School of Mages Arrives on MTG Arena

April 15 is here, so that means Strixhaven classes have offiically started on MTG Arena!

Strixhaven: School of Mages, the latest Magic: The Gathering expansion set in the Strixhaven school in the plan of Arcavios, has offiically launched on Magic: The Gathering Arena. Fans will be able to represent one of the five colleges of Strixhaven University: Quandrix (blue/green), Prismari (blue/red), Lorehold (red/white), Silverquill (white/black), and Witherbloom (black/green).

MTG Arena players can now join Strixhaven: School of Mages Sealed and Premier Draft events. It will cost you 2,000 gems for Sealed, and 1,500 gems for Draft.

In addition to the 275 brand new cards added to MTG Arena's card pool, there are also 63 Mystical Archives featuring the card game's iconic Sorcery and Instant cards. While these special cards with unique frames can be drafted, and used in formats they're legal in, 7 of them are considered too powerful in Historic. 8 Mystical Archives have also been banned in Historic Brawl format. Note that while all the 275 cards from the main set are legal in Standard format, only the Mystical Archive spells currently legal in Standard can only be used in the non-eternal format.

The MTG Arena shop also offers sets of new Mystical Archive style cosmetics you can purchase for 2,000 to 2,500 gems or 5,000 to 12,000 gold.
