Wizards of the Coast and seven heavy metal bands have teamed up to bring us the Week of Metal sneak peek for the upcoming Norse mythology-inspired Magic: The Gathering set, Kaldheim.
Houston-based metal band Oceans of Slumber has released a new video clip on social media to reveal the first Planeswalker card from Kaldheim: Kaya, the Inexorable. Watch the clip:

Starting at 5 Loyalty, her +1 lets you put a ghostform counter on any nontoken creature that gives the creature the ability to return to its owner's hand, and it lets you create a 1/1 white Spirit token with flying. Her -3 ability lets you exile a nonland permanent, and her ultimate ability gives you an emblem that lets you cast a legendary spell from your hand, your graveyard, or from cards you own in exile without paying their mana coast every beginning of your upkeep.
Wizards already confirmed that Kaldheim will feature two returning planeswalkers (Kaya and Tibalt) and two new planeswalkers (Nico Aris and Tyvar Kell).
Kaldheim is set to release on February 5, 2021 for tabletop, and Jan. 28 on Magic Arena and Magic Online. Check out where to find all the Kaldheim previews here.
