Kaldheim Reveals Magic: The Gathering's Take on Thor & Mjölnir

Wizards of the Coast is bringing the Norse mythology-inspired world of Magic: The Gathering in the upcoming set, Kaldheim, and fans are excited to see the popular card game's take on Thor, the God of Thunder and his weapon Mjölnir. The hammer-wielding god was given a boost in popularity by the Marvel comics hero based on him, and today, Wizards has revealed the Kaldheim card based on the God of Thunder.

2nd ability: Equipped creature

This MDFC is a great flavor win, and I think it will most likely see Constructed Standard play as a powerful red legendary creature similar to Hazoret, the Fervent's level. THe possibility of having both the legendary god and the Equipment on the field would encourage players to run multiple copies of this card, and I think Commander players might also see the versatility of this MDFC. The Equipment isn't that great but a repeatable burn damage can be great in Limited formats.
