Kaldheim Leak Reveals 2nd Magic: The Gathering Saga Card From The Upcoming Set

Magic: The Gathering fans will have to wait until January 7 before Wizards of the Coast reveals more official previews for the upcoming Norse mythology-inspired set, Kaldheim, but several cards have reportedly been leaked, and one of them is a Saga Enchantment called Bloodsky Massacre.

The red and black Saga was made for Berserker-focused decks. Wizards already confirmed that Berserkers will be one of the main creature types that will be introduced in Magic's Viking world. For only three mana, Chapter 1 makes you create a 2/3 Berserker token with menace; Chapter 2 lets you draw a card whenever a Berserker attacks that turn but you lose 1 life; and Chapter 3 lets you add one red mana for each Berserker you control, and until end of turn, you don't lose this mana as steps and phases end.

Check out Bloodsky Massacre:

Note that this card hasn't been officially confirmed by Wizards yet, but leakers claim that this and other Kaldheim cards were pulled from Commander Legends Collector Boosters. Last week, we reported about a leaked Phyrexian card from Kaldheim. If Bloodsky Massacre is an actual card from Kaldheim, this would be the second Saga card revealed from the set. The first one, Showdown of the Skalds, was revealed earlier this month.

Bloodsky Massacre looks like a strong card for Berserker decks, so there's a good chance that red/black Berserker tribal will be viable in the upcoming Standard Constructed meta.

Kaldheim is set to release on February 5, 2021 for tabletop, and Jan. 28 on Magic Arena and Magic Online.
