It has been a signature in the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to have a post-credits scene, may it be one or two squeezed in between or after the roll, and in the case of Black Widow, the trend continues as there is one in the end. It is intriguing and exciting as it jumps forward into the future, years away from when the film happened.

Don't turn off your screens just yet after you see Natasha hop on a Quinjet by the end of the film as, after the credits roll, the classic touch of the MCU is present as there is a post-credits scene which jumps into the future where we finally see that Natasha got a grave after her demise in Avengers: Endgame and her sister Yelena visited her with her new dog.

In the post-credits scene, while Yelena was silently looking at the grave of Natasha, a familiar face appears as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine loudly blew her nose saying she is "allergic to the Midwest." She also gave her appreciation of what Natasha did and she said she was just paying her respects. Val also gave Yelena the photo of Hawkeye referring to him as the person responsible for the death of Natasha.

In their conversation, it seems that they already worked together as Yelena told Val that she shouldn't be bothered by her during her holiday and that she needs a raise. With Val giving her the photo of her next "target" which is Clint Barton, she tells her both of them would get the raise they deserve.

This ultimately sets up Yelena being in the upcoming series of Hawkeye and why she would be there in the first place. Also, the appearance of Val is an exciting one after she made her debut in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recruiting John Walker as the US Agent. It is possible that with Yelena working with her, she is setting up the arrival of the Dark Avengers as it seems she is also collecting powered people to contract with.

Black Widow is now out in theaters and on Disney Plus Premier Access.
