Is Neill Blomkamp Teasing Involvement with a Masters of the Universe Movie?

Neill Blomkamp is currently attached to direct the Robocop reboot, but a recent post on his Twitter are leading some to believe that he's teasing involvement with a remake of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Check this out:

A lot of fans suddenly went into a frenzy asking if Blomkamp was involved with a He-Man project, but so far, there haven't been any updates from Blomkamp himself.

There had been news of a He-Man reboot not too long ago, but so lately, news has gone cold on the project.

The cool thing about He-Man is its amazing blend of fantasy and sci-fi. We know that Blomkamp can do sci-fi splendidly, but we have yet to see him tackle something like fantasy in his films. Interestingly enough, Blomkamp's last film, Chappie, had a very cool Masters of the Universe reference in it.

At best, this post of Skeletor is probably nothing, but it has sparked a lot of interest in the fans in seeing a He-Man reboot with Blomkamp at the helm. Admittedly Blomkamp hasn't made a hit since District 9, but a lot of people agree that though Elysium and Chappie were critically panned, the visuals were of the highest caliber.

No release date has been announced for Blomkamp's Robocop Returns.
