The fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been the most affected one due to the pandemic and while things are starting to get back to normal after more than a year of staying inside, some schedules just don't stay, like Doctor Strange 2, having a new release date revealed. Is it delayed? Here is the status of the movie.
Is Doctor Strange 2 Delayed?
Supposedly, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be gracing the screens a few months from now, on March 26, 2022. However, Disney has delayed some schedules for the release plans of various films in the MCU. Now, it would be happening on May 6, 2022.
Doctor Strange 2 remains an active project and it is one of the most anticipated films in the fourth phase of the MCU as it is expected that it would introduce the world to the bigger multiverse in a deeper understanding of what happens between worlds with different realities in it.
The titular character, Doctor Stephen Strange, will be returning sooner rather than later as he is confirmed to be appearing on Spider-Man: No Way Home this coming holiday season, and something really looks fishy in the way he handled the issue of Peter so we better find out in that movie what is Strange up to these days.
It could be remembered that the Sanctum Sanctorum was covered in ice in the first trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home so something is definitely not fitting the puzzle for Strange as, like his name, it is strange to see the way the sanctum is maintained. Also, he is one of the characters who completely oppose the idea of messing with time and space so why would he grant what Peter asked for?
As for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the same film will be the return of Wanda Maximoff who finally embraced being the Scarlet Witch. In the cliffhanger post-credits scene of WandaVision, she was seen to be having an isolation while studying the Darkhold and she heard her sons, Billy and Tommy, despite erasing the false reality she made in the poor town of Westview.
The wait could be longer once more but surely, it will be worth it!
