IT Director Would Love To Have Jessica Chastain Play An Older Bev In Chapter 2

The reboot of Stephen King's IT is blowing up in cinemas right now, and no doubt the studio has already greenlit the sequel. Since Chapter 2 will have the kids all grown up, director Andy Muschietti has an idea on who can play an older Beverly.

Variety asked if Muschietti was considering to have Jessica Chastain play an older Bev since she worked with him on Mama previously. He says:

"Jessi is an amazing actress and very good friend and I would love her to play Beverly. She loves the movie and it feels like the planets are aligned in that sense, but we still have to make that happen. There are a lot of ideas for the rest of the cast that I'm playing with, but it's a bit too premature to say those names right now."

With the movie as big as it is now, Chastain will probably consider starring in the IT sequel. The only problem from this point is figuring out her schedule.

Since we're on the subject of casting older characters, it would be a cool easter egg to have Chris Pratt play an older Stan. The actor who plays Stan, Wyatt Oleff, played a young Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, and since [SPOILER] Stan kills himself in the sequel, it would be cool to have Pratt do a small cameo [END SPOILER].

We probably won't get any solid news on the IT sequel for now, but we can check out Muschietti's hit horror movie in theaters today.
