A new Harry Potter-themed bar in Toronto, Canada, just opened its doors on Saturday, and it's called The Lockhart, which Potterheads will recognize as a reference to the cocky Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Gilderoy Lockhart.
The bar, which aims to be equally appealing to the uninitiated, has subtle references to J.K. Rowling's epic fantasy in the decor (such as the stag coasters) and d drink names (like The Shacklebolt).
"Without knowing any of the Harry Potter stuff, you already will think of this as a cool bar," co-owner Paris Xerx tells Now Toronto. "You'd come here and see the stag's head on the wall and go, ‘Wow, I love that,' but a Harry Potter fan might say, ‘That's a Patronus.
Potterheads would appreciate the bar's neon sign: a heart containing the closing words of the final Potter novel, "All was well."
