Geoff Johns Confirms Doom Patrol For Live-Action Titans Series

With Hawk, Dove, and maybe even Batman appearing in Titans, there's no doubt that there is a ton of excitement for the live-action DC series. One of the first series ordered for the upcoming DC streaming service, it's definitely ambitious with characters like Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy confirmed as main cast members.

As if those characters weren't enough, DC head Geoff Johns has essentially confirmed that the cult-favorite group Doom Patrol will be appearing in the series.

Johns went to Twitter and shared the title for the fifth episode of the series, bluntly called Doom Patrol. This can only mean good things for fans of the classic comic book group and with Johns writing the episode, we can expect to see them represented faithfully. At the least, it should be an interesting watch.

The Doom Patrol might be considered obscure but they have gained prominence before. Grant Morrison had a stellar run with them and former My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way is currently writing the team's latest ongoing for the new DC imprint Young Animal, delays and all.

Titans is set to debut this year, along with DC's streaming service.
