Final Fantasy XI Mobile Game Gets Promising First Screenshots

News on the Final Fantasy XI mobile reboot has been fairly slim but it looks like the game will be a beautiful one. Thanks to a Nexon job listing, fans have been able to see some screenshots of the upcoming mobile game and it looks wonderful. While there is still no release date for it, we can now look forward to the mobile reboot's eventual release.

Announced some time ago, the mobile version of Final Fantasy XI will be completely different from the PC and PS2 versions, though it will aim to tell the same story. However, players will have to start from scratch since they cannot transfer their characters from the PC or PS2 version. It's also expected to have a faster battle system than the original, which should be nice.

Square Enix has released a number of Final Fantasy games in mobile devices, including a cute chibi version of Final Fantasy XV. Fans were excited to see a mobile version of XI after the original version of the game shut down, so it will be interesting to see how it does. It's not yet known if it will be free-to-play or be a paid online game like the original and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

No release date for the mobile Final Fantasy XI has been announced but stay tuned for further updates.
