Zack Snyder's Justice League Wins Over The Falcon and The Winter Soldier But Defeated By WW84 in Viewing Numbers


Zack Snyder's Justice League was a success for many fans. It received great critical and fan reviews which led to the campaign #RestoretheSynderverse. However, as fans are still celebrating, Warner Bros CEO Ann Sarnoff made a statement that the Snyder cut is the completion of Snyder's trilogy. Fans were enraged by this statement but it has to be considered that no matter how loud fans might be on social media, the viewing numbers have to be measured.


According to Deadline, Zack Snyder's Justice League was viewed less than its fellow DC Extended Universe film, Wonder Woman 1984 over the premiere weekend on HBO Max.

Samba TV, a viewer recommendation and tracking company, has found that from March 19-21, Snyder's Justice League was viewed by 1.8 million households who were subscribed to HBO Max. Meanwhile, from December 25-27, 2020, Wonder Woman 1984 was watched by over 2.2 million households.

Even though Zack Snyder's Justice League fell short of WW84's numbers, Samba TV reported that the film was viewed more than the first episode of Marvel's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ in the same timeframe. Still, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier amassed impressive viewership numbers. The series' massive viewers with 1.7 million households, making The Falcon and the Winter Soldier the joins the most-watched series premiere on Disney+ to date.


In fact, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first episode viewing record joins WandaVision and The Mandalorian Season 2's numbers. It will still be determined if the later episodes of the Marvel series will continue the momentum and gain more viewers.

As for Zack Snyder's Justice League fans are truly disappointed with the recent reports that WB is seemingly shutting the doors. However, some fans are still finding a glimmer of hope as the Snyder cut also seemed impossible back in 2017.
