WandaVision's Theme Songs Were Written By Another Unusual Couple

Wanda and Vision are truly an unusual couple as the previous trailers for WandaVision have shown. The phrase about the two being an unusual couple can be heard multiple times. The latest TV spot trailer introduces another ‘unusual couple' who are very talented and a tandem who is known in the Disney world as songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

The duo is the Oscar-winning songwriters for Frozen, Frozen 2, and Coco. The duo is also confirmed to be the people responsible for the original theme songs for WandaVision. One of their works for the Disney+ series can be heard on the WandaVision New Era TV spot.

The WandaVisionNew Era trailer teases one of the several original songs by the couple. The husband and wide have written several unique songs for the nine episodes of the series, which borrowed some of its visuals from the classic TV tropes from the 1950s to the modern times. The two were joined by Christophe Beck as they help shape the audio style of the series.

Robert said, "WandaVision is such a cool, strange, one-of-a-kind project. When the director, Matt Shakman—an old friend from my college days—pitched it to us, we didn't have to think about it. We loved the bright feeling of American sitcoms mixed with the deep sense of unease the story had, and it was a really inviting challenge to help set that tone."

His wife Kristen stated, "I grew up in the '80s watching shows from every decade on the networks all day long. Episodes from I Love Lucy, Brady Bunch, and Family Ties shaped who I am and how I move through the world. So this project was a dream come true."

Fans can hear a verse from one of the theme songs they wrote near the end of the newly released TV spot. The vibe for the song seems to emulate the 50s or 60s music style. The series is a canon in the MCU and also follows the timeline after the events on Avengers: Endgame.

The WandaVision synopsis is as follows:

Marvel Studios' WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision will be a weekly series, consists of nine episodes, and is set to kick of MCU in Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
