Tom Holland Uses His Star Power to Refuse Marvel's Demand For Spider-Man 3

Tom Holland revealed that he refused to do a certain task that Marvel wanted him to do for Spider-Man 3. The actor was adamant that he will not do what Marvel was asking and telling them to "deal with it."

Holland, a British actor, quickly rose to fame after being cast as Spider-Man's Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016. He debuted in Captain America: Civil War, then went on to join Infinity War, Endgame, and two Spider-Man films.

The actor has mostly retained his easygoing nature and retained his interactive personality. However, Holland revealed that he decided to use his star power when Marvel asked him to do one thing in particular for the filming of the upcoming Spider-Man 3.

The problem started when the actor got a haircut for the movie Uncharted which was adapted from a video game. He filmed that movie before he started working on Spider-Man 3. In an interview with Esquire, Holland said that his haircut was much cooler. He had some cool shaved sides which look slick at the back, which doesn't exactly ‘scream' Peter Parker. As the actor noted, Peter Parker is "a bit of a loser."

Marvel producers wanted to give Holland a wig around the sides of his head. The actor said that for the first time in his life, he decided to "put his foot down" as the leading actor. He told the producers that he will not wear the wig, adding that they are going to deal with it.

The actor said:

"For the first time in my life, I put my foot down as the leading actor and was like, ‘I'm not f***ing wearing that wig. You can just... I'm going to have shorter hair and you're going to have to deal with it."

Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to be released in December 2021. His film Uncharted is set for a February 2022 release.
