Tim Burton's Batman Movies Returning to HBO Max

Tim Burton's Batman movies from the ‘80s and ‘90s will be making their comeback in HBO Max. Although the streaming service currently works as a hub for DC movies and TV shows, there's a lot of the DC content which goes in and out of the lineup. Some DC content may go to other deals with streaming services.

How the DC content works on HBO Max is on a rotation basis. The licensed content can leave at any time. The movie may appear on a different streaming service, stay in the ‘vault', or go back to HBO Max. The difference depends on the contracts for each content.

This rotation of content has led Tim Burton's Batman movies, including Batman & Robin to leave HBO Max in 2020. The good news is that all four films will be returning to the HBO Max in February 2021.

On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, HBO Max revealed the list of every TV series and movie which will be arriving on the platform in February. Out of all the movies listed, four Batman movies were included. The four movies are Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin.

Christopher Nolan's Batman films have already been available on HBO Max but fans were clamoring to see the other predecessors of his trilogy come back. Michael Keaton starred as the infamous Caped Crusader in both the Batman and Batman Returns. Val Kilmer also donned the cowl in Batman Forever, while George Clooney took on the mantle for Batman & Robin.
