The CW's New DC Series Will Explore the Multiverse Even More

The CW has been the home of some of the iconic DC TV series. It includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, The Batwoman, and Superman & Lois. Now, the network has ordered a new DC series. It picked up Naomi as its new addition to its roster.

Variety reported that The CW has officially found the latest DC Comics superhero with Naomi. The series will also join the Legends of the Hidden Temple and The 4400. Ava DuVernay serves as the executive producer and writer of the series together with Arrow writer Jill Blankenship.

The series is set to follow Naomi in the journey she takes after a massive supernatural event shakes her world and her own hometown to the core. She will investigate what occurred and experience more things that will shake her world even more.

The role of Naomi will be played by actress Kaci Walfall, together with other stars Alexander Wraith, Camila Morena, Barry Watson, Cranston Johnson, Aidan Gemme, Mary-Charles Jones, Will Meyers, Daniel Puig, and Mouzam Makkar.

DuVernay's Array Filmworks is working together with Warner Bros. Television to produce the series. Paul Garnes and Sarah Bremner will also join the series as executive producers.

Brian Michael Bendis, the co-creator of Naomi's comic run, stated that Naomi's story isn't what is normally seen in the DC Universe. Naomi will go from her small town to treading the multiverse.

In the comics, Naomi McDuffie is a teenage superhero from an alternate Earth. An incident led her to discover that she was sent to Prime Earth to be saved and preserved from Zumbado, a conqueror from the Earth she came from.
