The CW officially released photos of The Flash season 7 episode 15, titled Enemy At the Gates. The episode is set to air on June 29. The episode shows the return of Frost's (Danielle Panabaker) latest antagonist, Chillblaine (John Cor). However, that will not be the only enemy Team Flash will be facing.

The team will also face an army of Godspeeds that attacks Central City. This leads the heroes to put their personal plans on hold to take on a familiar but mysterious villain. Despite having a few appearances on The Flash, Godspeed has always been a fan-favorite villain of the series.

Series showrunner Eric Wallace stated that Godspeed is one of the most important villains of the show. He explained in 2020’s DC FanDome that using a contemporary villain will allow the younger fans to be attached to the series and the story. The same way fans are familiar with Golden and Silver Age villains.

Wallace stated that he wanted to make sure that the fans and new young fans who are reading the comic book right now are welcome to see the show.  Wallace added that it was not just the Silver Age and Bronze villains, but there might also be a young boy or young girl who is reading the Flash comics who may be looking for their ‘generation’s villain’.

The plot of the upcoming episode will be about the army of Godspeeds attacking Central City, Barry and Iris will put their family plans on hold while focusing on the latest to their home.

The Flash airs every Tuesday and the episode will air on June 29.
