#SaveQuicksilver Trends as Fans Feel That Marvel Have No Future Plans For the Character

Recent fan campaigns have been making waves online. Fans are emboldened to speak up and campaign for what they like. Some of those campaigns even tend to gain major worldwide attention and generate fervor supporters.

It has become a phenomenon where fans gather on social media and make their voices heard as a collective. The most recent fan campaign was with Marvel's Quicksilver which many fans believed to be wasted potential.

One of the most successful campaigns is Zack Snyder's Justice League. Ever since Joss Whedon's Justice League was released in 2017, fans have been campaigning to witness what Snyder had truly envisioned for the film.

Warner Bros executives realize that they can use the Snyder cut to drive the subscriber numbers for HBO Max. They have seen the huge amount of revenue they can get if the Snyder cut movement gets what they want. Although fans have truly gotten what they wanted from the studio, WB's motive most likely lies in a monetary decision on how to turn the interest into profit.

Recently, a new movement has sprouted over Marvel's side. It was for the character of Quicksilver. Fans of the character trended the hashtag #SaveQuicksilver to make sure the character will not be wasted.

Some Twitter users were dismayed to think that the MCU wasted two actors for the role yet the character was not treated right.
Many viewers felt that at the end of WandaVision, Quicksilver could offer so much more.

However, Marvel president Kevin Feige will want to stick to his Phase 4 plans and may not be too bothered over the Twitter campaign. However, just like the Snyder cut, there is a chance that fans may still return in the future.
