‘Pokemon Presents’ Confirms Return to Sinnoh Along With Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Remakes


Pokémon is celebrating its 25th anniversary on February 27. The Pokémon Company launched a Pokémon Presents event. The livestream event unveiled game-related announcements on February 25. It also included major news for fans of the Sinnoh region.

started with the company's goals and plans. The event emphasized what the franchise has achieved in 25 years. These achievements include games, anime, and many more. The stream proceeded to announce the upcoming games and special events.

The presentation also showed more ways for the players to interact with Pokémon, including throwing Illumina orbs and playing music. The event also announced the New Pokémon Snap's features. Much like the other photo modes, players can edit the pictures they take and can share them online. They can also see other photos shared by other players around the world.

One of the most long-awaited Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes for Nintendo Switch. With these remakes, it means that Pokémon will take fans back to the Sinnoh region. Based on the announcement trailer, the remade graphics will remain faithful to the original game although it will surely have some upgrades.


The Shining Pearl and Brilliant Sapphire will be full-on 3D games that will have their own unique art style. The remakes will "include easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences of the modern Pokémon series, plus up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes."

The livestream made another surprising announcement before the live streaming event ended. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an open-world game that will explore the history of the Sinnoh region which is based on feudal Japan. This world will have plenty of Pokémon being able to freely roam. The player's objective is to create Sinnoh's first Pokédex.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set for a Nintendo Switch release in early 2022.
