Dragon Ball Super Just Revealed The Key To Defeating Jiren

There's a lot to talk about in the latest Dragon Ball Super episode: Jiren's background story, Android 17's death, and the part when Android 17 was able to damage Jiren's body, which is shocking since the overpowered Pride Trooper has never been damaged like that before, not even Goku's Ultra Instinct form.

Jiren was able to knock down Goku and Vegeta but Android 17 was able to find an opening to Jiren's vulnerability. Android 17, who's been Universe 7's MVP in the Tournament of Power, was able to sneak behind Jire and attack him with an energy blast at point-blank range. Since the attack was so close, it injured 17 himself, but he was also able to do a bit of damage to Universe 11's last fighter.

Android 17 pointed out that even Jiren can be injured if he's hit by a surprise attack. Although he wasn't able to hit him again, this confirms Jiren's vulnerability. He's no One-Punch Man; despite being overpowered, it's definitely possible for him to get hurt. Android 17 is an intelligent fighter and I'm glad that he was able to catch that. Though he was not able to hurt Jiren before his death, at least now Goku and Vegeta knows about it, and can use 17's strategy to take down Jiren.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon.
