Charlie Cox Wants Daredevil Season 3 To Explore That Cliffhanging Conversation With Karen

The Defenders might be making its big Netflix debut next, next week, but it looks like Charlie Cox is already looking forward to the third season of his solo Marvel Netflix series, Daredevil.

Though everyone's going to get to see Matt Murdock make his way back to the small screen in the upcoming mash-up series, fans have been wondering what's been happening to Matt in the six months between Daredevil Season 2 and The Defenders.

Sitting down with CinemaBlend for an interview, Cox reveals that this six month gap is actually something he wants to see explored in the third season of Daredevil.

"In the 6 months since DD ended and this show begins, there is so much stuff that I would like to have explored. Like I'd love see the conversation between him and Karen. At the end of Season 2 he hands her the mask, and says I'm Daredevil. I'd love to have seen that conversation. And maybe we will. Maybe we'll see that in a flashback or something, I don't know."

Season 2 of Daredevil certainly left with a lot of cliffhangers and the most agonizing one was Matt's decision to let the cat out of the bag and share his secret identity as Daredevil to Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page.

While The Defenders could discuss the aftermath of the confession, Cox's reaction tells us that it might not be likely. After all, Matt might not have the time for romantic flashbacks when New York is in jeopardy.

The Defenders makes its big debut on August 18.
